Técla, Paris
|
Técla, ParisJo Godlman founded Técla in 1912. It was the first French jewellery company to import pearls. Godlman gave his house a name derived from an anagram of the French word for brilliant (eclat). He opened his first shop near the Place Vendôme, 2 rue de la paix. It was quickly acclaimed by the wealthy Parisiennes who frequented his shop as it was decorated by Jansen, a famous Asian artist known for refinement and originality throughout Europe. The ornate facade of the exterior made his shop one of the most beautiful in the street.
Godlman felt that a woman without jewelry was a landscape without light. Links |
